Gorgeous “Vegetable Ivory” pipes hand carved from a whole dried Tagua seed. After the Tagua seeds lose all their moisture they become rock solid, then they are placed in a tumbler that shaves some of their brown rind, to obtain a “half polished” finish: ivory white with brown streaks (which is the leftover rind). The dark brown rind contrasts beautifully with the revealed white ivory of the Tagua seed. These are very smooth, just like ivory but botanical, similar to worry stones, great to carry around in your pocket or just to have at home. Very cool, practical, and uncommon, makes the perfect gift. These Tagua nut pipes are sustainable, organic, vegan, and biodegradable, pure vegetable ivory.
